Charleston Hemp Collective is a boutique vertically integrated hemp retailer, based out of Charleston, SC. I worked in their retail stores and on their social media team for almost a year. I really felt strongly about the benefits that CBD had to offer, and I really wanted to help break down the negatively held stereotypes about hemp and cannabis that some of the more conservative states still carry. I shot these product photos for them, using the natural light that was in their retail locations from the windows. I wanted to capture the chill, vibe that their store offers their costumers, through photography posted on their social media platforms. I wanted to emphasize the shape and copy on their products through the way the highlights caught them. These photos have been used on Charleston Hemp Collective’s social media platforms, website, and on print ads displayed in store.
