This is a website concept redesign I created for Airbnb. I focused on the Ui/Ux design, trying to make it as user friendly and straight to the point as possible. For Airbnb, I went through the entire website creation process, to achieve my final website. I started with the sitemap, keeping in mind that there does not need to be that many tabs to book a property. I wanted all the information that a user needs to be able to quickly access to be easy to find and navigate to. Then I created a wireframe for the entire site. I knew I just wanted it to be a one page scrolling site (and I knew I wanted to code it later). I kept my wireframe simple with descriptions along the side, so others were aware of why I was choosing to make those design choices. My mockup includes a sky blue color, as the primary background color. I knew I wanted to have a cool color, to emote feelings of relaxation and calm, since that is what most people want to go on a vacation for.
If you scroll down, you can find my other planning assets. These include a sitemap and wireframe.
Note: I actually coded this entire website from scratch using HTML/CSS, so I have some basic fundamental knowledge of coding. I have since then used that knowledge to create small landing pages for websites and change email marketing workflows in CRMs, such as HubSpot. However, since I have no intentions of being a software developer, my code has not been included here.
